Job Description

You will support the Functional Lead and Change Lead to ensure company needs and views are reflected in service development and that impacted staff understand the importance of the changes and what it means for them. Using appropriate change management methodologies, you will support stakeholders to fully consider the impact of changing technologies, structures and processes and support the effective delivery of change readiness activities.

  • Lead on business change activity as required and work with the project to support delivery of the Business Case benefits and outcomes.
  • Champion the use of best practice and provide expert advice for team members and project community.
  • Quickly build trust and credibility through effective relationships, working collaboratively and providing effective support to drive forward the required changes.
  • Stakeholders include functional leads, counterparts in the other Matrix departments and programme, current providers.
  • Provide change knowledge and input, supporting the Finance Lead and Change Lead and working closely with functional areas (primarily finance and HR) and wider stakeholders.
  • Work closely with the communications and engagement lead to ensure the communications plan is up to date and supports the understanding and acceptance of change, enabling programme benefits to be realized. In particular, support the briefing of Finance stakeholders and alignment of communications to the Matrix Business Design Authority and other forums as relevant.
  • Engage stakeholders to create the required Business Change products for the project. Coordinate and input to change impact assessments, business change plans and undertake activities to ensure business readiness and benefits delivery and management.
  • Support the planning for and delivery of change in an operational environment, working with functional teams and programme colleagues to ensure impacts are fully understood, documented and planned for across people, process and technologies, and to identify, mitigate and manage risks.
  • Ensure that business change management standards, tools and processes are adhered to, keeping accurate records and ensuring consistent understanding across company.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills with a proven track record of establishing and building strong, collaborative and productive relationships.
  • Understanding and/or experience of a Finance environment with demonstrable ability to understand policy and process and the implications of change.
  • Good change management understanding, ideally with experience of working as part of a programme team, with ability to effectively coordinate, input to and quality assure change products (including change impact assessments and business readiness plans).
  • Highly organized with ability to quickly understand issues and requirements, use initiative and priorities work to meet outcomes.
  • Experience of working in a shared service environment and/or involvement in Corporate Services (HR, Finance, Procurement, Digital) would be advantageous.
  • Qualifications may include APMG Change Management Practitioner, Prosci Practitioner, Managing Successful Programmes Practitioner or APM Practitioner Qualification.
