Job Description
In this role in our Research Finance team, you will use a process driven approach, your keen eye for detail and operational experience to manage the operational and financial processes for research portfolio.
Key duties include:
- Lead the financial tasks and processes associated with the post award grants management process including:
- Ensuring the monthly payment process is completed in a timely manner, working closely with colleagues in other departments.
- Lead and meet the reconciliation targets for reconciliation programme, helping to ensure that outstanding budgets are regularly monitored and reviewed, and awards closed.
- Understand and apply our terms and conditions to post award funding processes and provide expert advice to internal and external stakeholders.
- Audit transaction listings provided by Host Institutions
- Provide timely and accurate Restricted Income reporting of grant expenditure monthly, quarterly and annually.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, providing advice and support on processes relating to any research finance changes and issues.
- Respond to queries and requests for help, including overseeing and managing multiple inboxes in partnership with Research Finance colleagues.
- Manage and action all post-award changes, such as requests for extensions, working closely with internal and external stakeholders to complete these.
