Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity to join us and be a core part of a wider team advising and shaping the leading Finance teams of the future.

We work across multiple industries (including Consumer, TMT and Public Sector) and with both private and listed businesses. Joining our team will provide great opportunities to work on transactions, particularly with private equity, where we work closely with other M&A teams across Deloitte.

We are looking for candidates with a strong accounting and finance background who can demonstrate a mix of accounting expertise, operational finance, project management, and client relationship experience and skills.

Your role

  • Being a core member of a team to deliver outstanding service to clients across a variety of accounting advisory projects, including transaction accounting, GAAP conversions, accounting assist and with our operational finance teams.
  • Supporting client management on the implementation and application of accounting standards and accounting.
  • Working as part of a team underneath directors and partners to achieve the best results for all our clients.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

To qualify for the role you must have:

  • A passion for delivering high quality complex projects including effective planning, project, financial and people management
  • Proven ability to work effectively in teams
  • Excellent networking and influencing skills
  • Experience of working in an audit or finance advisory capacity is preferable however for the right candidate, experience of working as a finance business partner or in a line role will be considered
  • A relevant degree, or equivalent experience
  • The ability to travel to client sites as required by this position and within government guidelines
  • The ability to present client data in a clear and concise format
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, specifically Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word
