Job Description

The main focus of the role will be to support the business on international tax and transfer pricing matters working directly with the Global Transfer Pricing Lead.

You will support the tax team in:

  • developing efficient and compliant tax solutions on new business projects
  • implementing tax transformation and automation strategies in collaboration with internal teams and external advisors
  • fulfilling the increasing number of tax/transfer pricing mandatory requirements as well as supporting with local tax enquiries and dealings with tax authorities

Responsibilities

  • Supporting the Tax team and business teams on the international tax implications of new digital and omnichannel business proposals and strategies 
  • Working with the Tax and business teams and global advisor network to understand and manage the tax implications of new business divisions and expansions in new markets
  • Providing tax support to business teams during contract negotiations with new partners 
  • Monitoring intercompany service and distribution agreements and supporting Legal and external advisors in updating tax clauses for new transactions
  • Providing support with transformation and automation of tax compliance and reporting including transfer pricing policies set up/monitoring 
  • Assist in the identification, development and implementation of strategic transfer pricing planning projects

Working with Global tax teams and external advisors to fulfil international tax compliance obligations including:

  • Preparation of Global Transfer Pricing documentation and reporting.
  • Review of global and international roles intercompany charges: maintaining and implementing Global mobility controls to monitor and prevent Permanent Establishment exposure worldwide
  • Managing transfer pricing issues during tax audits and involvement with Advance Pricing Agreements and Mutual Agreement Procedures

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Strong technical expertise evidenced by appropriate experience and professional qualifications 
  • Minimum full 5 full strategic cycles experience of international tax and the management of cross-border transactions/transfer pricing policies in industry (preferable).
  • Knowledge of ERP systems and tax compliance and reporting software solutions.
  • Proficiency in the usage of IT tools 
  • Ability to manage a variable and diverse workload covering multiple jurisdictions
  • Good communications skills, both with tax and non-tax specialists 
  • Personable character, good ability to be persuasive and persistent in obtaining information
  • Team player, must have a “can do” and enthusiastic attitude and be able to work independently on assigned tasks 
  • Ability to learn and develop expertise with the right support
  • Fluent in English (additional languages being a plus)
