Job Description

We are looking for a Qualified ACA/ACCA Accountant to work at Director level within a Global Research and Financial Trading business.

Reporting directly to the Global Head of Research, the Financial Controller role offers an exciting opportunity to join the senior management team of this fast growing internationally focused digital business.

Besides responsibilities for management accounts, corporate reporting and financial
analysis, the role also offers the opportunity to manage a small team and take on responsibilities for a range of important operational activities.

What you'll be doing
 Management of all financial matters across the global Research business.
Overseeing financial and reporting cycle of the business and ensuring timelines are adhered
to, including month end close, internal reporting, audit, statutory accounts.
Producing divisional management accounts monitoring business performance, reporting key
variances and KPIs.
 Overseeing operational areas of the business, including sales operations, credit control, procurement and KYC.
 Supporting management with the preparation of budget and financial forecasts, contributing to the broader business plan.
 Business partnering with senior leadership team to provide financial input on ad-hoc projects.
 Supporting continuous improvement, documentation and development of internal systems

Skills and Qualifications

 Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA or equivalent) with first time passes (would suit an accountant up to three years post qualified experience but an exceptional newly qualified candidate would be considered)

 Strong academic track record, including 2:1 or above at top tier university

 Experience at a top 10 accountancy practice or within a large international business

 Good IT skills, experience with accounting systems advantageous (SUN Systems, Workday Financials)

Experience managing a team preferable but not essential

A keen interest in the global economy

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
