Managing a small Finance department, leading the team, offering guidance and support
Varied accounting role includes 60% finance and 40% tax work
Ensuring the integrity of reported financial results, improving accounting systems/processes, as well as internal controls
Owning the annual budgeting and forecasting processes, creating the budgeted/forecasted
Monitoring performance including pricing, cost, and margin analysis
Cash flow forecasting and management
Resolving technical accounting issues for compliance
Completing and overseeing month end activities, including journal entries, financial statement preparation, analysis, and reconciliations
Overseeing all statutory audit, tax audit and other year-end operations
Preparing year-end corporation tax return and liaising with external tax accountant/auditors as required
Ensuring adherence to European laws and guidelines, statutory reporting requirements
Reporting to global stakeholders for all financial transactions and activities
Collaborating across departments to ensure financial information is collated and reported, as well as involvement in strategic conversations within the business
