Job Description
  • To provide timely, accurate, and reliable monthly reporting;
  • To provide strong line management and development of direct reports;
  • To support Financial Controller, improve processes and controls, driving the business to increased efficiencies and accuracies.
  • Rolling out projects to users and monitoring their success.
  • To support Financial Controller and Financial Reporting Manager with the annual audit process;
  • To support the Finance Business Partner team to ensure ongoing improvement of quality management information
  • Responsible for line management of direct reports providing them with technical support, ensuring role clarity and regular performance development reviews in line with the Group’s HR processes;
  • Accountable for provision and continuous improvement of the service provided by direct reports;
  • To manage the monthly close process to reporting deadlines for relevant sites ensuring that effective cut off processes are in place to ensure accurate and timely information;
  • To provide accurate and reliable monthly balance sheet positions for all relevant company codes, including full monthly reconciliation of all control accounts;
  • To provide guidance and instill effective communication channels to the sites in the understanding of financial systems and processes, aid any training required, collaborate with them and suggest possible improvements;
  • To collaborate with the Business Partnering teams to ensure ongoing development & improvement of quality management information;
  • Assist Financial Controller and Financial Reporting Manager ensuring all existing accounting policies (revenue recognition, fixed asset capitalization, stock provisioning etc) are detailed and documented and up to date in line with reporting requirements.
  • Assist in the roll out of improvements/projects to sites personnel, monitor their success, feedback suggestions on further improvements/any difficulties sites are facing.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Experience with SAP is mandatory
  • Experience of managing, developing and leading a team
  • Experience of monthly management accounting and analysis
  • Experience of process improvement, including through use of IT
  • Experience of cross divisional working
  • Experience of managing multi-level relationships within the business
  • Experience of multi-site working and managing challenging workloads
  • Interpersonal skills (ability to provide technical expertise in a language that the business can understand, collaborate in finding practical solutions)
  • Team player with the flexibility to provide practical support and effective leadership
  • Systems expertise – SAP literate and advanced Excel
  • Self-motivated individual who thrives on aligning personal achievement with business objectives
  • Demonstrate pro-activeness and problem-solving attributes
  • Professional integrity, values, ethics, and confidentiality
