Job Description

You will support the Senior Finance Operations Manager in ensuring that appropriate level of controls is in place for accounts reconciliations and month end processes whilst also managing a team of three. This is an exciting opportunity for an accountant who has qualified in the last 1-2 years and is ready to take the next step into a managerial role.

• Managing and supporting one Stock Accountant and two Finance Assistants with the preparation of accurate and timely reporting of day-to-day cash management requirements, payments analysis, banking transactions, month-end analysis and balance sheets reconciliations. 
• Producing the annual Cash flow forecast and improving the accuracy of the current daily reports distributed by the team by integrating data from different sources (e.g., the stock management system).
• Management of the corporate credit card scheme and expenses reconciliation.
• Supporting the Stock Accountant investigating stock discrepancies and P&L losses and preparing insightful analysis for month-end reporting purposes and the Loss Prevention team.
• Preparation of monthly Balance Sheet reconciliations of accounts such Duty, Gift Cards, AP Creditors, Bonus Accrual and charities funding.
• Reviewing the Balance Sheets reconciliations prepared by the FA team of: Banks & Cash accounts, Prepayments, Other Debtors, Stock & payroll-related accounts with particular focus on the revenue receivables from concession stores and related expenses.
