Job Description

You will provide support, guidance, and direction to Front Office teams and other colleagues, ensuring the standard of credit applications is consistent and of a high quality.

What you’ll be doing.

  • Analyzing transactions across the UK and Continental European jurisdictions
  • Providing constructive support to Front Office with the objective of structuring transactions to meet acceptable risk parameters and deliver financial targets
  • Supporting the production of succinct and well-informed presentations of propositions to the relevant credit approval authority.
  • Monitoring a portfolio of names, seeking approval for waiver requests/annual reviews and identifying and escalating to senior management issues causing concern.
  • Supporting the Credit Risk Head of LBOs Europe with any regulatory requirements including regulatory capital model development and monitoring processes across 1LoD and 2LoD.
  • Relevant experience of analyzing corporate banking credits with good documentary skills.
  • Solid understanding of financial forecasting methodology and credit rating interpretation.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Sound understanding of syndicated facilities and structures – LBO specific structures, desirable.
  • Ability to make firm, independent decisions and provide clear, concise and well-balanced credit arguments to justify actions taken / recommendations made
  • Well-developed presentational and business writing skills
  • Excellent communication & time management skills
