Job Description
  • Management of key monthly controls and reviews.
    • Approve schedules prepared by existing staff including
    • Intra-LSM commission charges
    • Broker Service Agreement recharges 
  • Review control schedules such as
    • Balance Sheet reviews
    • Cash flows
    • Branch management reports
    • Intercompany account analyses
    • Process controls
  • Management of company process improvement tasks
    • Manage previously identified issues including
      • Improving branch level data
      • Implementation of quarterly IDAC and ULAE calculations
    • Identify new areas which need improvement
    • Coach staff and provide on the job training to junior staff including
      • Excel techniques
      • Schedule Presentation
      • Investigation and reconciliation skills

 


Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Qualified Accountant (required)
  • Experience of managing a London Market (re)insurance company or Syndicate finance team (required), including:
    • Reviewing and authorizing management reports, reconciliations and controls
    • Implementing new processes and controls
    • Coaching and developing staff
    • Managing investigations and correction of identified ledger issues
    • Close liaison with actuarial and tax teams
    • Experience of SAP and FinanceBI (Preferred)
