Job Description

This is a Hybrid role with 2 days based in the amazing Hatfield head office and 3 days remotely working from home! It involves extracting, analyzing and checking data from our accounting systems, to produce the information needed for our various tax returns. This includes work on information for corporate tax and sales tax (VAT and similar) returns and you will report directly to our Tax and Compliance Manager.

What will you be doing?

  • Managing compliance deadlines for a number of company’s overseas subsidiaries, working alongside country tax advisors.
  • Liaising with the wider finance department to obtain data needed for specific tax returns
  • Analyzing and checking data and reformatting it for tax return purposes
  • Making tax entries to the accounting system, and reconciling tax balances
  • Seeking opportunities to standardize, streamline and improve processes and accuracy of information
  • Assisting in the tax aspects of the half year and year end reporting

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • A degree in a finance-related subject or a demonstrable interest in finance with good Excel skills
  • Well-organized with good attention to detail
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and act on your own initiative
  • Mindset for continuous learning and continuous improvement
