Job Description

Our central teams are an integral part of company, and include functions such as, communications, customers and markets, environment, finance, IT, health, safety, wellbeing and quality, HR, legal and operational efficiency. As part of the finance team, you will provide the support needed to enable Skanska to achieve its purpose to build for a better society. Central teams are based at our head office.

We are looking for an Assistant Accountant to ensure an efficient standardized process. This will enable governance, reporting and accuracy of financial information to be channeled through to the wider business. Responsible for the management of revenue and service delivery.

You will be responsible for:

  • Process receipts from customers including allocation to invoice and processing refunds
  • Raise invoices, credit notes and record revenue postings
  • Generation of invoice/credit note/write offs
  • Import of costs from sub ledgers through a transactional routine, and monitor any failure of batches
  • Prepare and input standard journals to general ledger
  • Preparation of monthly management accounts to trial balance
  • Reconciliation of primary balance sheet accounts
  • Ensuring sub ledgers have been posted to general ledger correctly

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • ERP system knowledge, Oracle Fusion preferable
  • A thorough and up-to-date knowledge of financial and management accounting practices
  • Detailed and analytical
  • Customer focused
