Job Description
  • Delivery of all cyclical internal and external financial and management reporting for the business – including working with Group Finance on preparation and filing of statutory accounts with Companies House and regulatory reporting to the regulator
  • Work with the COO and provide hands-on support across all aspects of the business on a financial, strategic, operational, and commercial basis
  • Work strategically across the business to provide bottom-up financial insights in order to formulate, drive and execute business strategy
  • Oversee relevant fund service providers (including the fund & loan administrator); ensure investment drawdowns and associated processes are undertaken correctly
  • Participate in various governance fora including the management board, risk council and ad-hoc working groups

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • A Qualified Accountant - Association of Chartered Accountants (ACA) or equivalent qualification/work experience, ideally big 4 or top 20 practice firm
  • Post-Qualified Experience (PQE) including experience gained within a small and medium-sized enterprise (SME) Investment Management company, ideally with a Private Credit focus. Experience of working with/ overseeing loan and fund administrators
  • Experience of regulatory reporting, ideally including Internal Capital Adequacy Assessment Process (ICAAP)/ Internal Capital and Risk Assessment (ICARA) process
  • Demonstrable experience and understanding of setting up/enhancing a finance function, including developing relevant finance controls and processes
  • Able to effectively work in a small team, welcoming the opportunity to pitch in outside comfort zone in diverse range of activities whilst business is in growth stage
  • Proactive, enthusiastic, innovative, and confident problem-solver
