Job Description
Within the role, we want you to make a significant contribution to the delivery and continuous improvement of company’s financial planning cycle, providing insightful commercial analysis to drive and improve business performance. You will work as a business partner to the CEO and CFO, and work closely with senior members of our Group and Divisional Finance functions.
You will guide the business through the strategic plan cycle, increasing integration between finance and strategy functions and ensuring that all key stakeholders are informed and engaged. You will also lead the annual budget and monthly forecasting processes, and any associated development, alongside the implementation and utilization of a new financial planning system.
Other responsibilities will include:
- Coordinating robust and accurate analysis of group and divisional business performance for identifying issues, opportunities and actions
- Developing a strong understanding of both pricing and input cost mechanics, and communicating to senior management the impact of changes in key variables on Group performance
- Overseeing and driving improvement in the analysis of trends in key performance indicators including all areas of revenue, cost of sales and operating expenditure to improve business understanding and performance
- Helping to drive the commercial agenda by supporting major initiatives and projects as they arise, including analyzing complex financial information to provide decision support on commercial viability of proposals, potential acquisitions and new business opportunities
- Proposing and building an appropriate way of working with the recently implemented Group company function, ensuring appropriate interface and knowledge share with the new team
- Managing and developing two FP&A Managers and a Finance Analyst, and coordinating all of the divisional FP&A teams on group wide FP&A activities
