An opportunity has arisen for a Finance Assistant within the Finance team. There is a requirement for you to be in the office two days per week, however this is subject to change and can be discussed further at interview stage.
This role supports the Professional Management Accountants in providing financial support to strategic business units within the Professional areas of the University. Key tasks include supporting the preparation and review of the monthly management accounts, co-ordination of the Financial Management Report and Forecast and Budget Packs at a University and Group level. The post works closely with the Professional Management Accountants team and the wider Finance Team.
You must have proven finance administrative experience at an appropriate level. In addition, you will be expected to have intermediate Excel and Word skills and have significant experience in the use of at least one accounting package in a large, complex organization. You should have proven ability to manage multiple tasks in a timely manner so that deadlines are met.
You will have a minimum of 5 GCSEs Grade C/4 including English and Math, or equivalent. Ideally, you will be AAT qualified, and educated to degree level, or equivalent with previous experience in higher education administration.
