Job Description

You will have responsibility for helping to deliver the financial and business plans. You will be partnering and challenging the business and other finance teams to deliver accurate budgets, forecasts and reporting. You will be a fundamental part of the wider finance team and help contribute to the success of both finance and company.

• Directly supporting the CTO and tech leadership team on forecasting, budgeting and monthly reporting for tech opex and capex spend
• Overseeing the tracking and reporting of experimentation testing performance; producing robust financial modelling to analyze experimentation benefits in collaboration with Product teams and commercial finance
• Supporting the business across the capital investment process, from approval request through to project appraisal, contract negotiations, quarterly business reporting, long term planning and more
• Providing strategic direction and financial advice on contracts with key tech partners such as Microsoft and Oracle
• Overseeing the month end close process for tech capex and opex
• Directly supporting the Payments team, covering forecasting, budgeting, and monthly reporting
• Ownership of Payments business cases (such as new payment methods and optimization initiatives) and working with the Payments team to set strategic direction and a long term plan
• Driving continuous improvement on all transaction cost reporting, month end accruals processes and tracking of performance to provide the Payments team with the most accurate tools for decision making

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Ability to analyze and interpret financial data, draw conclusions and make strategic recommendations
• Strong communication skills and the capability to priorities and work in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent interpersonal, teamwork and line management skills
• Ability to deliver strong business partnering relationships with proven results
• Industry experience in logistics, e-commerce or retail
• Financial modelling and use of financial and reporting systems (MS Excel, SQL Server, Micro strategy, Dynamics all preferred)
• Excellent presentational skills (MS PowerPoint) and confident of presenting to senior management
• ACA/CIMA/ACCA Qualified – substantial experience post qualifying
