Job Description

We are looking for someone with excellent working knowledge of end-to-end payroll to oversee the monthly payroll and to contribute to the daily accounting tasks of the UK Finance team.

Responsibilities

  • End to end payroll processing, to include monthly inputs, pension administration, processing through to RTI submission and payment
  • Calculation of SSP/CSP/SMP and other statutory payments
  • Checking/collating overtime hours from the Time and Attendance system
  • Understanding and following payroll procedures and payroll related forms.
  • Maintaining and updating employee records on the payroll system.
  • Preparation of ad hoc reports as required.
  • Liaising with HR regarding new hires, terminations, remuneration, overtime and any other additional payroll.
  • Complying with relevant legislation and regulations
  • Management of pension auto-enrolment & Gender Pay Gap reporting
  • Liaising with third party providers in relation to pensions and other benefits
  • Completing year-end processes and reporting
  • Resolving issues employees have with timesheets, pay slips and other payroll matters
  • Ensuring all HMRC reporting requirements and compliance are adhered to in a timely manner
  • Identifies, investigating, and resolving discrepancies in timesheet and payroll records
  • Honoring confidentiality of employees’ pay records
  • Undertaking any other tasks/duties as may be reasonably required in line with level of role

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Excellent working knowledge of end-to-end payroll
  • CPP qualified desirable but not required
  • A good working knowledge of payroll software, preferably Cascade
  • Previous experience of processing timesheets
  • Strong numeracy, verbal and written skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Familiarity with Benefits and Other Wage Deductions
  • Self-motivated, autonomous, and proven “do–it yourself” attitude.
  • Experience with SAP suite a bonus.
  • Consistently working with honesty and integrity
