Assistant Accountant

Job Description
Assisting with month-end processes such as the preparation and reconciliation of superannuation, RTI, HMRC, payroll tax, payroll journals and PAYE obligations.
Preparing balance sheet reconciliations in a timely manner and resolving reconciling items
Assisting with the global Fixed Assets reporting and reconciliation
Assisting with the GRIR reporting and reconciliation
Posting bank transactions as required
Assisting in the external and internal audits by providing information as required
Preparing the UK monthly VAT Return for review
Preparation of statistical reporting to ONS monthly
Preparing fund requests for our Accounts Payable function to facilitate timely intercompany payments
Assisting in the filing and organization of the UK Finance department

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Excellent working knowledge of end-to-end payroll
CPP qualified desirable but not required
A good working knowledge of payroll software, preferably Cascade
Previous experience of processing timesheets
Strong numeracy, verbal and written skills
Excellent attention to detail
Familiarity with Benefits and Other Wage Deductions
Self-motivated, autonomous, and proven “do–it yourself” attitude.
