Job Description

We would like someone who would like to make a career in charity accounting and keen to learn management accounting. To work with and assist the Finance Officer, initially to take responsibility for the retail income reconciliations and sales ledger with credit control. It is expected that the tasks will increase as the candidate grows in accounting knowledge to cover the full spectrum of charity accounting.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• A good grasp of Math and English, friendly and keen to learn management accounting.
• Someone who would like to make a career in charity accounting as it is very different from the commercial sector.
• Good Microsoft based programmes skills including Word, Excel, and Outlook
• The ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team
• A can-do attitude
• Ability to work under pressure
• GCSE Math and English Grade C/4 or above
• Training to be provided
• AAT level 2 and 3 (Assistant Accountant L3 Hybrid)
• Training with Milton Keynes College
• Ongoing training, support and development with the employer
