Job Description

The Manager will be expected to participate in the active growth of our Sustainable Finance practice, by contributing to multiple client engagement teams and delivering professional services and working on business development and research activities.

The role actively shapes the future of Mazars offering and the future of Sustainable Finance Advisory at the firm. This area is expected to grow exponentially in the foreseeable future. This position will contribute in developing and enhancing the banking service offering as the ESG Sustainable finance sector.

This includes managing a few client accounts, engaging in business development activities, and helping with the integration of the wider Mazars firm's initiatives in the ESG/ sustainable finance space. It includes managing and collaborating with and leveraging on other FS Consulting, Tech, Infrastructure Finance, Audit teams and senior management.

The position will have direct exposure to client companies' management and boards. This will be key for advancing workstreams and strategies to achieve our clients' objectives and installing company as a leader in ESG/Sustainable Finance Advisory.

You will be required to:

• Screen regulatory and industry developments around sustainable finance to aid client conversations, equip the wider team, grow expertise, anticipate regulatory developments, identify opportunities, and produce material to will increase Mazars visibility in the space
• Work with the leadership team to develop our service offering and contribute to marketing activities towards external and internal stakeholders
• Develop and improve specialized skills and knowledge relating to Sustainable Finance within the team
• Be part of the Engagement Team on clients' projects and ensure timely delivery of high-quality consulting services
• Identify likely issues and risks that could impact delivery and call upon on Mazars network support as required
• Prepare client proposals
• Mentor, coach and develop more junior staff

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Experience working within banking industry (risk, strategy, research)
• Conducting structured information gathering, research and analysis to provide relevant recommendations for enhancing current arrangements
• Structuring, planning, and managing the execution of deliverables
• Preparing, facilitating, documenting, and actively participating in meetings and workshops
• Creating high quality presentations and reports to effectively communicate findings and conclusions
• Relevant financial banking services and/or management consulting experience
• University Degree with a relevant business, finance, or technology major, or must have a strong and passionate interest in sustainability-related disciplines
• Professional certifications in sustainable finance and climate risk are considered as an asset (e.g., SCR, CCI, ESG Investing)
• Practical experience in sustainability, climate change strategy development, climate scenario analysis, stakeholder engagement and change management
• Practical knowledge of relevant UK and EU regulations
• Understanding of ESG-related data landscape
• Strong desire to work in the financial banking services and management consulting industries
