Job Description
  • Responsible for all aspects of the chart of accounts in SAP, leading developments in optimizing the account structure and ensuring compliance across the accounting teams.
  • Leading the monthly finance operations review including balance sheet reconciliation reviews, SAP journals review, Certification and other finance operations related reviews. In addition, constantly monitor and correct any sub-optimal processes.
  • Providing the Finance Control Director Responsible for producing monthly ‘going concern’ files for use by the business and ensuring Cruise overlays have successfully been completed.
  • Work with the MI team to ensure accuracy of data from the original source of data entry through to the reported results from the ledgers
  • Oversee and produce the Quarterly COSO submission, which is signed-off by the Finance Director by working closely with the individual Business Controllers and Head of Accounting & Reporting.
  • Monitor and report upon SLA’s to ensure agreed business requirements have been met in a timely manner along with the production of the monthly KPI pack.
  • Management of direct reports, 1 in the UK and 1 in Germany, measuring their performance against clear objectives.
  • Fostering people development by ensuring regular team meetings, 1:1’s and personal development plans are in place. As such, a small element of travel (potentially twice a year) may be required in the future.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Qualified accountant (ACCA/CIMA/ACA) with proven post qualification experience
  • Excellent financial accounting knowledge
  • Self-starter, able to work using their own initiative allied with problem-solving skills
  • Strong systems & process skills
  • Personable, with strong communication skills both written and oral
  • Influencing, leadership and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage & develop a multi-disciplined & multi-national team
  • Curiosity and resilience – able to work in an ever-changing, fast-paced and international environment
