Job Description
An opportunity now has arisen for senior finance professional to join the Gallery as Financial Controller on a maternity cover basis. The post holder will manage the day-to-day finance operations of the Gallery, manage tax compliance and co-ordination of all aspects of year-end, from liaising with the auditors to the creation of the statutory accounts, and play a pivotal role in the management of financial systems. In addition to financial operations, they will also manage, develop and motivate a team of up to four.
This role presents a rare opportunity for an analytical and innovative individual to play a key role in financial operations at an internationally renowned museum.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
The successful candidate will possess significant experience of financial control in a charity, public sector or similar organization and a relevant degree or professional qualification (i.e. ACCA) with significant post qualification experience. They will also be able to demonstrate up to date knowledge of tax, including detailed PAYE, gift aid and VAT and experience of working at a senior level, advising senior stakeholders. Highly effective interpersonal and communication skills are required to line manage, convey complex information, influence and negotiate.
