Job Description

This 12 month role is key to drive commercial insights by looking at our marketing levers, while coordinating with other team members on Price, Promotion and Loyalty levers.

Core Responsibilities

• Being an active member of our Retail Marketing Leadership Team, leading discussions on areas within your responsibility but also providing perspective and challenge across all aspects of the Retail Marketing business.
• Providing commercial and financial support to drive growth in a financially sustainable manner.
• Ensure good governance of marketing spend, working with the marketing teams on spend follow-up, month-end, planning, etc.
• Driving efficiency and effectiveness on Marketing spend through data, working closely with Business Intelligence, Digital Insights, Retail Marketing and other teams to unlock key insights.
• Influence and coordinate the commercial levers strategy (Promotion, Loyalty, and Marketing) within Retail Finance.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• A degree is not a prerequisite but the candidate must be able to demonstrate financial acumen / management accounting proficiency.
• Experience working within the finance area in a global organization. This includes experience within commercial finance and business partnering.
• Experience in an Omni channel retail business would be very advantageous.
• Strong communication, collaboration, networking and leadership skills are a requisite to ensure alignment and challenge business areas.
• Comfortable challenging and influencing senior key partners.
• Analytical with a strong end to end business understanding, proactively looking for opportunities to contribute to the business.
• Passionate about unlocking insights through data.
• Proficient in Excel; SAP
• SQL, Power BI and other data analysis language/tools experience would be ideal but is not essential. Willingness to learn and up skill digital skills is desired.
• Fluent in English, both written and oral
