Job Description

Reporting to the Head of Commercial Finance, the Senior Finance Manager (Costs) will play a key role in the Commercial Finance team, as the key finance business partner to the Property, Facilities and Technology functions. Responsibilities include leading a team through preparation of monthly management accounts, forecasting and budgeting, providing insight to key stakeholders, identifying cost efficiencies and being the finance lead on key strategic projects.

You will:

  • Lead and develop a team of 3
  • Play a leading role in the preparation of the monthly management accounts and presentation to the Finance Leadership Team
  • Oversee month end process and financial controls / reconciliations for Property, Facilities and Technology costs
  • Develop and continuously improve reporting of results and forecasting to ensure effective performance management
  • Lead the forecast and budgeting process for your responsibility areas
  • Challenge business partners to identifying efficiencies and demonstrate effective cost management
  • Present key themes / topics at Business Partner meetings to ensure operators have sound knowledge of financial metrics and processes.
  • Be the finance lead on key internal strategic projects
  • Respond to queries from regional managers, general managers and Executive Committee members in relation to monthly reporting
  • Support the group reporting team through the external audit process
  • Support the F,P&A team through the forecasting and budgeting cycle

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • 3+ years post qualification (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) accounting experience
  • Technically strong with exceptional business partner and stakeholder management skills
  • Strong commercial acumen and problem-solving skills; able to collaborate across the business and implement solutions to help other members of the business achieve their goals
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; able to challenge established thinking and achieve consensus
  • Ability to plan, priorities and manage workload in a fast-paced environment
  • Resilience, demonstrating flexibility in approach; a fast thinker with a desire to get the job done
  • Self-motivation and ability to work independently
  • Challenging mindset, using training and experience to identify the need for change/improvement
  • Experience working in industry for a fast-paced, growth business
  • Understanding working with Power BI and Workday Financials
  • Experience business partnering internal functions
