Job Description

You’ll play a leading role within our analytics Centre of excellence, leveraging advanced analytics and rich data sets to solve high-profile business problems and leading a successful team. You’ll have a passion for working with data and will be proactive, naturally inquisitive, and commercially-minded.

What you'll do:

• Lead multifunctional project teams to deliver revenue improvements through customer-targeted activity.
• Translate important commercial / strategic questions into analytical hypotheses and then testing those hypotheses.
• Deep dive into high profile aspects of business performance, bringing new insight and clear recommendations.
• Identify and support opportunities to leverage advanced analytics and complex data sets to optimize revenue growth.
• Work with colleagues across functions, including commercial finance, sales, marketing, data and technology.
• Direct a team of analysts and managers to deliver the above and contribute to our wider team people plans.
• Mentor & up skill other team members, sharing the best analytical practice.
• Help our broader finance team get even better at using data and analytics in their day-to-day work.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• At least a 2:1 Degree (or equivalent), ideally in a STEM subject, and / or experience of using data analysis in a professional capacity. Finance qualification preferred but not essential.
• Experience leading complex analysis in support of business decisions or to bring new insight.
• Strong communication skills, including ability to explain complex analysis to non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to break down complex business questions into analytical requirements and testable hypotheses.
• Ability to build strong working relationships within and outside of your immediate team.
• Experience of leading multi-functional projects, ideally with an analytical focus.
• Team leadership.
• Desirable but not essential technical skills: Data visualization (e.g., Tableau, Data Studio), SQL, Python / R.
