Job Description

This full time, permanent position would suit a Company Accountant who has at least 5 years' experience within a similar role. Preparing the monthly management accounts and ensuring accounts are in line with both Ireland and UK Financial Reporting Standards as well as managing the payroll function of the business are the key aspects of the role.

The successful candidate will be part or fully CIMA / ACCA / ACA qualified, be proficient with SAP and Sage accounting software and have knowledge of Irish accounting standards. The Company Accountant should be proactive with their approach and have excellent teamwork and communication skills.

• Preparation of monthly management accounts
• Ensure accounts are in line with Ireland and UK Financial Reporting Standards
• Oversee the closing of purchase and sales ledger at month end
• Cash flow forecasting
• Managing the payroll function, liaising with the Irish team
• Budgeting and forecasting
• Ad hoc analysis to assist in decision making

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• CIMA / ACCA / ACA part or fully qualified
• At least 5 years' experience within a similar position
• Knowledge of Irish accounting standards required
• Knowledge of IFRS and UK GAAP required
• Microsoft Office including Excel to an advanced level
• SAP and Sage experience required
• Able to communicate with both financial and non-financial stakeholders
• Excellent teamwork skills
• A background within the consulting or construction industry beneficial
