Job Description

You’ll be providing business insights and market knowledge to assist the Capital Risk Mitigation leadership team to make key capital, product, cost and investments specific decisions in conjunction with the franchise.

• We’ll look to you to provide commercial and financial insights and analysis to help influence key business decisions
• You’ll be providing input for plans, forecasts and stress scenarios and provide business leads with key themes and analysis
• Gain valuable exposure and hone your expertise as you advance your career in this technical and analytical role supporting pan franchise teams in the Capital Risk Mitigation business
• Analyzing financial regulatory change impact on products and services
• Providing support to secondary trading desk on asset sales and purchases
• Using the data and analytics thinking required to solve strategic problems using the latest tools and techniques
• Collaborating with our Finance Centre of excellence and financial control to provide specific financial plans, forecasts, stress testing and customer, market or segment analysis
• Supporting the provision of review and challenge to ensure the optimum use of resources presented in investment decisions and business cases

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

To succeed in this role, you’ll need good stakeholder management skills and the ability to communicate and influence. Along with planning and organization capabilities, you’ll need the ability to deal with ambiguity, uncertainty and risk and work in a flexible environment.

You’ll also demonstrate:

• Technical regulatory and accounting knowledge in areas such as IFRS9 and regulatory rules pertinent to capital transactions
• Good data analysis and modelling skills
• The ability to communicate complex financial information in a concise and non-technical manner
• The ability to create and review plans, forecasts, models and stress scenarios
• Strategic awareness and the ability to apply business knowledge, expertise and challenge to support the business
• Good finance functional knowledge, accounting knowledge and product area and market segment knowledge
