Job Description
The Financial Control Forecasting team are responsible for the short and long-term planning of all aspects of Gross Margin for company including mark-on, markdown and freight. Building relationships and partnering across teams to ensure all headwinds and opportunities impacting margin are understood and reflected appropriately is critical to success.
The Financial Control Manager will need to ensure that the team is supported, whilst responding to the changing needs of the business as it continues to evolve and grow.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage 2 SFAs and a graduate to deliver weekly and monthly forecasting processes as well as Budget and Long-Range Planning.
- Support associates with their on-going personal and professional development, providing development opportunities where needed
- Review of weekly and monthly margin actuals to understand the impact on the forecast and impacts across the businesses
- Partnering with the Commercial Planning team to ensure alignment on key strategic decisions impacting Margin
- Collaborating on projects to support with profitability of new and existing banners and channels
- Ensure understanding of the company Supply Chain and how this impacts inventory and in turn GP building this understanding into ongoing review of actuals and forecast
- Identify areas of improvement in existing processes ensuring team are leveraging systems and technology where appropriate
- Manage the team in supporting the business with ad-hoc queries and analysis
