Job Description

This role will provide all financial information to support the Sustainable Finance team in meeting its objectives and drive informed business decision-making. The role will assist senior management in achieving budgeted and strategic financial goals.

Additionally this role will also be working across the Finance team supporting key strategic initiatives as these arise. The nature of this work will be varied and changing, with exposure to the CFO as well as the wider leadership team.

The successful candidate should be a self-starter with proven ability to work in a dynamic, fast paced environment and work with the teams to provide value added insight. An interest in Sustainability and Sustainable Finance is important.

Role Responsibilities

  • Assist with any strategic decision making that requires financial input, as a valued member of the growing team.
  • Work with the business to drive and own business performance, including revenues and sales analysis, investment reporting, strategic planning, commercial support etc.
  • Represent Finance in monthly business forums such as the Business Operations Team Meeting, ensuring a finance perspective is provided to influence outcomes.
  • Use knowledge of underlying trends, future business plans and external market factors to assist with the composition of short-term forecasts (current financial year), budgets (next financial year) and 3 year plans.
  • Quantify and clearly articulate how a certain action will impact various financial and operational metrics.
  • Challenge and makes recommendations with respect to performance against budget, budget setting and financial viability of new divisional initiatives.
  • Provide financial advice and judgment to business management teams.
  • Support the financial work stream of Strategic initiatives as required
  • Work with Group Strategy to produce regular competitor insights and market intelligence to aid decision-making
  • Prepare financial analysis and performance updates for the Board and Investors as required

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Experience across different areas of finance and able to demonstrate progression through various finance roles and experiences
  • Experience in driving change and a track record of effective communication, succinct messaging and ability to influence stakeholders
  • Ability to quickly build and foster collaborative relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Able to demonstrate strong analytical, organizational and project management skills
  • High level of interpersonal skills and an ability to function effectively as part of a global team that coordinates, works, and reports out of different geographies.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Degree (or equivalent) and/or relevant professional qualification
  • Commercially minded and able to influence change across finance and related functions
  • Experience in a business partnering finance role within a global and matrixed organization
  • Expert level with MS Office (Excel and PowerPoint)
