Job Description
You will be expected to identify best practice, develop and document formal policies and processes and also incorporate internal controls in line with SOX compliance. The role will be key in setting up this newly formed global service and once established you will oversee and manage the Global Process activities with a longer-term strategy to develop SLA’s and introduce value added business partnering services to key department stakeholders. You will need to build and develop collaboration with other legal entity Financial Controllers to ensure ongoing compliance and also be the financial control business partner to other departments, such like Procurement/Purchasing, Sales, Marketing and IT, especially to review and verify actual spend versus budget. You will have line management of a team of 2 graduate trainees, leading on their ongoing training and development.
What You Will Do?
- Ownership of global process standardization and accounting areas and programme spend
- Research and implement best practices, develop formal policies and procedures and incorporate internal controls in line with SOX compliance
- Take lead on working with internal audit team to develop and ensure SOX compliance across the financial control team
- Ownership of the Group cash flow forecast, variance analysis together with reviewing and presenting the associated metrics reports to the Global Controller, Finance and the wider regional Financial Controllers
- Design and develop data analytics and report on data insights to enhance the Financial Control function’s review of Actual expenditure and Balance Sheet control
- Taking a lead role in purchase order management, providing vendor spend analysis, advising on budget versus actual variances and contributing to month end close review meeting
- Active role in One Stream implementation and on-going system utilization
- Maintain up to date process documentation, making systems improvements and process changes to improve efficiency
- Develop SLA’s and introduce value added business partnering services to key department stakeholders, including Global Procurement, Sales & Marketing, IT, FP&A business partners, Group Tax
- Formalize inter-department process communications and KPIs to measure improvements and success
- Support other finance/accounting functions (e.g. tax, commercial finance) in analysis of data
- Provide input into areas of Group accounting as required/ requested
- Direct line management of global process team
- Responsible for Individual Learning Plans for graduate training and development.
