Job Description

Finance strives for continuous improvement in all areas and aims for excellent customer service, supported by quality and efficient processes, all operating within a robust control environment. The role is to represent, support and deliver the task for the FTOM program. The key deliverable out of the program will allow:

  • The delivery of the Syndicate and related monthly close process and drive the key insurance accounting reporting processes that is right first time and on time.
  • Management of key monthly controls and reviews.
  • Leading the continual improvement of appropriate processes and controls.
  • Production of all required US GAAP inputs into regulatory returns as required.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Qualified Accountant (required)

Experience of managing a London Market (re)insurance company or Syndicate finance team (required), including:

  • Reviewing and authorizing management reports, reconciliations and controls
  • Implementing new processes and controls
  • Managing investigations and correction of identified ledger issues
  • Close liaison with actuarial and tax teams
  • Experience with a core accounting platform. SAP, Finance BI or SAP Analysis for Office (AO) would be beneficial.
