Job Description

The Senior Capital Accountant will be provide a professional capital and lease accounting service to monitor and control the Trust's activities in an effective and efficient manner in compliance with statutory and Department of Health and Social Care guidelines and to undertake day to day management of the capital section.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the delivery, accuracy and timelines of the monthly performance reports to the Trust Board and other committees as required, ensuring that procedures and controls are up to date and implemented and liaise with Project Managers across the Trust in order to ensure schemes are delivered to plan and budget.
This is a key post and one that requires a professionally qualified accountant with a strong communication style who can effectively influence across the Trust and drive the capital programme forward. 
The role will be required to provide leadership within the finance directorate on capital and leasing matters, demonstrating expert accounting and business knowledge, analytical support and clear presentation of complex financial and business information to clinical and non-clinical colleagues.
