The role promotes the highest standards of financial control within the school and strategically supports the direction of all decisions in relation to school finances.
The incumbent is responsible for the Financial Control of the school. It is an integral role within the leadership of the school. The incumbent reports all matters of finance firstly to the Operations Manager and will advise the head teacher and governing board on all financial matters. The incumbent will have the part-time administrative support of the Finance Administrator.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
You should have a sound and confident working knowledge of all financial systems (including FMS, SPSF, PFM) and be confident with all that is 'budgets'.
You should be able to evidence strong administrative skills, with an ability to priorities and time-manage. Also the role involves an ability to problem-solve, use initiative and to work under pressure, providing solutions to problems by applying logic.
You should have the ability to communicate confidently & effectively with a variety of people/organizations, orally and in writing and most of all be a team player!
