Job Description

This is an excellent opportunity to make a difference and join our Islands Finance team on a permanent basis. Our Islands team is responsible for financial control and regulatory reporting across a number of banking platforms and business areas and your day will be varied and challenging. You'll be responsible for the end to end production of a range of deliverables, providing oversight and control over a core banking platform and working closely alongside other financial control and regulatory reporting colleagues.

There are opportunities to build relationships with multiple team members across the business. You’ll be able to influence a range of internal partners and communicate effectively at all levels both orally and in writing.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Production and distribution of high quality daily, weekly and monthly reporting from our local banking platform covering multiple business areas
  • Ensure that adequate controls are in place to minimize error and misstatement and ensure compliance with Group policies and standards
  • Ad hoc analysis and investigations
  • Handling the relationships with partners across the Islands and wider business
  • Continual enhancement of report production processes in line with evolving business requirements

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

This role is an ideal combination of responsibilities, where you'll be ownership of more complex technical tasks as well as being key inspiration to motivate others in the team to deliver results to a consistently high standard within tight deadlines. You’ll have the ability to work under pressure and have a real opportunity to influence the day to day success of the team. You’ll require finance knowledge either from experience or through studying towards the relevant professional qualification (ACCA/CIMA/ACA).

  • The ability to produce work of high quality with a strong delivery focus
  • Comfortable managing your own workload and priorities effectively Ability to collaborate and work well across a team
  • Desire to innovate and improve your own work and support others around to do the same
  • Strong knowledge of Excel is essential
