Job Description
The role will ensure that the Marketplaces business unit operates with financial coherence and that the senior leaders and stakeholders have a transparent view of how their business unit is performing and clarity on the financial impact of their strategic, operational and trading decisions.
This leadership role will report into the Senior Director of Commercial Finance. The role will operate with gravitas, confidence, and credibility, providing both partnership and challenge to the business and leadership in order to maximize the performance of the Marketplaces Business Unit.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Partner with the Chief Marketplaces Officer to set the financial guard rails, develop strategies to grow the business and drive performance, with a clear view of Business Unit Financials
- Bring alignment of financial management across all elements of the Marketplaces Business Unit, rationalizing reporting and bringing focus to key financial KPIs across P&L, balance sheet and overall working capital
- Lead a team to deliver analysis, insight and recommendations on the financial implications of business decisions, ensuring business performance reporting is delivering actionable insight in a timely and efficient way.
- Establish the capability to understand and clearly communicate financial performance of the business unit for both internal and external reporting purposes in support of Group FP&A
- Challenge the business unit to deliver financial goals aligned with group operating and financial strategy through strategic business partnering, driving growth in top-line revenue and efficiencies in the cost base and working capital.
- Delivery of financial planning, budgeting and forecasting for Marketplaces, translating the vision of the business into a long-term financial strategy and supporting the development of the strategy to drive the business.
- Lead, engage and motivate a team, to deliver effective business partnering and stakeholder engagement ensuring performance is at a high level and our company values are reflected in how they perform their role.
