Job Description

You will be part of the wider Finance department, sitting within the Financial Planning and Analysis team that are responsible for reporting, budgeting, and maintaining the finance systems within Welcome Break.

Your work will include;

  • Identifying data and reporting requirements with end users
  • Build a plan on how this can be achieved.
  • This will include testing data and configuration of reports.
  • Contribute towards project meetings and engage with system developers
  • Work closely with our project manager to effectively priorities your work streams in order to deliver project tasks to the deadlines set
  • Working with our end users (finance and non-finance colleagues) to identify current data sources and reporting requirements
  • Working with end users to understand key reporting metrics and then defining calculations for the project team
  • Work closely with the Finance Systems and Information Manager and Project Manager to highlight risks and opportunities within the project plan
  • Testing Hypersonix data against source data and existing finance system data
  • Building new reports based on user requirements and delivering these to the end users
  • Launching new reports into the live environment
  • Training end users, to help them use and understand their reports
  • To identify & implement improvements / enhancements to existing company reports
  • Support the Senior Reporting Manager with the decommission of legacy reporting systems (primarily Cognos)

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Part qualified accountant (CIMA/ACCA/ACA) is preferred but will consider candidates who are qualified by experience
  • Experienced in working within project teams and delivering project successfully
  • Experienced in the provision of management information and analysis
  • Report building in financial systems (e.g. General Ledger systems, BI tools, Access Databases and Excel)
  • Analytical background & sound commercial understanding
  • Record of suggesting / implementing improvements to financial processes
  • Experience of working in a similar role, preferably within a multi-site business environment (FMCG)
