Job Description

You’ll work closely with the CFO to ensure efficient, insightful and compliant management of all our accounting processes. You’ll own our financial reporting and be the driving force for a best practice approach to financial control. You’ll have a passion for our business with an eye for the finer details of our accounting to minimize risk and ensure timely and accurate reporting.

Your mission is to:

  • Provide regular updates and monthly financial reports, outlining the company’s financial performance against targets whilst providing detailed variance analysis and management commentary
  • Own the month end close process - consolidating entities, reconciling intercompany accounts, providing segmented reports and clear concise balance sheet reconciliations
  • Lead the annual audit, acting at the main contact for our auditors, and consolidating and preparing annual accounts and associated reporting
  • Manage a team of three part qualified accountants, developing their skills and offering guidance on best in class accounting practices
  • Oversee all company subsidiary accounts, acting as the key contact for external international accountants
  • Monitor cash books and bank reconciliations at entity and group level, and input on cash flow planning and projections
  • Be a champion for automation and efficiency, and lead our system administration (Netsuite)
  • Manage a range of tax and compliance matters as they arise well as assisting with banking and treasury requirements
  • Improve the medium and long-term cash management, including FX
  • Partner with People Operations staff to efficiently execute international payroll and benefits processes
  • Support Finance talent acquisition efforts as required, leading on candidate assessment and providing appropriate feedback
  • Lead ad-hoc finance projects as directed by your manager

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Fully ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified or equivalent
  • Accounting practice background is essential. Additional experience in international high-growth or scale-up environment would be highly desirable
  • Solid knowledge of SME Finance systems, ideally Netsuite
  • A diligent approach with impeccable attention to detail and accuracy
  • Drive to implement best in practice processes and developing junior team members
  • Someone curious by nature who wants to understand how things work ‘under the hood’, constantly challenging the status quo and striving for the next level of automation and efficiency
  • High emotional intelligence and discretion dealing with sensitive matters
  • A power user of the Microsoft and Google suites (Excel and Sheets especially)
  • A resilient yet flexible approach, balancing cooperation with safeguarding the business from a financial perspective
  • Someone agile, with comfort operating in a matrixed organization and balancing various stakeholder needs and expectations
  • A keen interest in gaming/esports and desire to immerse yourself in our business
  • Excellent written and verbal communication in English, other languages desirable
