Job Description

Finance Business Partner responsibilities:

• Accruals, prepayments, identifying any adjustments and processing journals
• Preparation of monthly management accounts and MI pack for multiple sites and consolidated accounts
• Detailed variance analysis and commentaries
• Managing WIP, monthly valuations and retentions
• Business Partnering - developing strong working relationships with relevant stakeholders
• Supporting the team in educating and helping Operational Managers & Directors to understand the numbers, financial processes, budgets, and deliverables
• Balance sheet reconciliations
• Assisting with the preparation of the annual statutory accounts and reporting
• Cashflow management and projections
• Budgets and Forecasting - leading the production of annual budgets and forecasting
• Developing processes, controls and reporting

Required skills & experiences:

• Technically competent qualified accountant (CIMA/ACA/ACCA) with a strong knowledge of all accounting principles
• Experience within a similar Finance Business Partner role with hands on, project accounting skills
• Strong interpersonal skills to be able to develop relationships quickly with senior stakeholders
• Ability to use your own initiative and proactively seek better ways of capturing and presenting the numbers
• A self-starter, someone who can hit the ground running quickly in a large, complex unique group of companies
• Experience within construction would be advantageous - including WIP, retention and CIS knowledge
