Job Description

We are searching for a rounded, experienced and qualified Finance Lead/Financial Controller. The right candidate should be able to grow with the Company into an FD role in time

• Drive a robust controls environment ensuring accurate financial and management reporting, cash flow management and forecasts.
• Sleeves rolled up in Management Accounting, Forecasting and some of the general administration within the business.
• Leverage existing systems, deliver system improvements and necessary upgrades.
• Support, influence and coach non-financial team members.
• Drive a more commercially aware culture across account teams.
• Supporting the CEO and leadership team with timely commercial advice and actionable insights.
• Maintain all compliance requirements liaising with external practice accounting firm where required.
• Managing a junior management accountant.
• Continuously improving the finance function so that it aligns with the FP growth story.
• Maintain accurate forecasting, balance sheet reconciliations and cash flow reporting worksheets.
• Action and maintain the Compliance Checklist.
• Timely production, analysis and distribution of the monthly Management Board Pack (Inc Management Accounts & Balance sheet) and Customer Profitability reporting.
• Oversee Accounts Payable and Receivable.
• Maintain bank accounts.
• Work closely with Project Managers and Managing Partner ensuring any risks are quickly identified and mitigants are able to be put in place to preserve profitability.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Comfortable in the detail as well as strategically focused.
• CIMA, ACCA, ICAEW or equivalent qualifications.
• Background in agency/software or service based industries – (ideal but not essential).
• Proven ability to drive efficiency, profitability and accountability.
• Calming influence in high pace and creative environments.
