Job Description
- Supporting the Head of Finance Operations in overseeing and controlling all financial aspects of the organization
- Maintaining and managing the financial records ensuring compliance with the best practice and the maintenance of reliable systems of internal control
- Recommending and implementing measures to improve efficiency in transaction processing and to be proactive in developing the use of systems to improve efficiency and service
- Advising on technical accounting, compliance and tax related matters
- Being a key point of contact for other departments on financial and accounting matters
- Support month end preparations including review of results, assisting with commentaries on variances and any other month end tasks that may arise
- Liaising with auditors and preparation of the audit pack
- Preparation of Statutory Accounts Engagement in the annual budget process
- Provide support to and engage with European team of Management accounting and Financial accounting in regards to reporting and analysis
- Assisting with the preparation of year-end accounts and statutory accounts
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- A professionally qualified accountant (CIMA/ACCA)
- Experience in practice is desirable
- Good communications skills in English, both oral and written
- Must be able to communicate effectively in a succinct and constructive manner
- Highly numerate with strong IT skills
- Excellent attention to detail, whilst able to identify and prioritize key issues, within the context of meeting accounting and reporting deadlines
- Proven ability of working under pressure
