Job Description

You will need to be motivated by improving internal processes and strive to drive accurate and efficient financial reporting. This is a newly created role in the finance division due to a change in business structure. You will focus on reviewing existing practices across multiple departments that impact financial reporting, reviewing processes and establishing controls to ensure reporting consistency across multiple site P&Ls. You will need have strong technical financial accounting skills, have a good understanding of accounting standards and be able to review existing processes and transform them into “best practice”. Strong knowledge of Excel, process mapping and analytical skills is essential for this role.
Responsibilities:

  • Review existing monthly management reporting processes and critically evaluate them
  • Propose and implement “new” processes and controls where process and/or financial reporting weaknesses are identified
  • Ownership of annual statutory compliance processes, including providing a key point of contact for the Group’s auditors
  • Supporting the Finance Director as required in other areas, including commercial, strategic, analytical, data, system and other challenges.
  • Support the wider finance team and business by providing robust insight and analysis to drive improvements in financial reporting
  • Transformation activities through design and delivery of changes to forecasting / reporting methodologies, to drive greater understanding, efficiency and standardization
  • Build strong relationships with key stakeholders to ensure effective ways of working

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to develop new approaches / solutions to achieve targets.
  • Have excellent analytical skills and an informed, evidence-based approach
  • Excellent communication, attention to detail and a high level of responsiveness to internal and external stakeholders
  • IT literate including Excel and PowerPoint
  • Driven to succeed and highly capable of prioritizing / managing workload to meet milestones and deadlines
  • Be numerate, with the ability to analyze problems constructively
