This Accountant role will be responsible for preparing and accounting for all COGS, P&L and Balance sheet entries in accordance with IFRS and accounting policies and ensuring regular reviews and analysis of revenue related variances – also a selection of overhead accounts as required.

Duties will include:

• Timely preparation of monthly financial accounts for COGS and related overheads 
• Identify need for adjusting journals recommend correct accounting treatment for unusual transactions for COGS and related overheads
• Regular reviews and analysis of revenue related budget & Forecast variances for COGS and related overheads 
• Preparing monthly and maintain cost reallocation modules & Wages Allocation
• Embed key financial control principles, policies and governance at an appropriate level. 
• Identify need for adjusting journals decide on correct accounting treatment for unusual transactions and provide support for these.
• Regular reviews and analysis of COGS related budget variances 
• Review accruals and site level P+L’s to ensure completeness and accuracy
• Help and support the finance department with year-end audit procedures 
• Collaborate with Business Controllers on financial queries - balance sheet variances and Variance Analysis
• Completion and/or review of cost and balance sheet reconciliations – to include high quality reconciliation files, with peer review on associated supporting documentation.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

We are ideally looking for an Accountant with shared service Centre accounting experience, 4-5 year’s experience in an accounting compliance environment such as SOX and strong month end and excel skills.
