Job Description

They are growing rapidly, launching new funds, and currently boast an impressive portfolio of companies across the UK and Europe. They are looking to recruit a Finance Manager who will join the finance function in their London head office. Reporting to the Finance Director, your duties will include:

  • Implement and maintain a multicurrency accounting system for multiple entities, and ensure it seamlessly integrates into Group Reporting system.
  • Lead a team to prepare accurate and complete management accounts within a 7 working day close
  • Prepare statutory accounts including all relevant information and lead the audit process for multiple large companies, as well as assisting Group Finance with company submissions and requests for Group Audits
  • Prepare and submit FCA returns for multiple companies
  • Review VAT, PAYE and corporation tax returns for multiple companies
  • Monitor and manage cash flows on varying time horizons
  • Assist with the preparation of management and statutory accounts for ~10 to 15 SPVs (special purpose vehicles)
  • Any other ad-hoc responsibilities as required by the team

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • ACA qualified (preferably big 4 trained)
  • 2-3 years post-qualification experience
  • Excellent academic and professional track record
  • Ability to implement and maintain accounting systems
  • Ability to implement financial controls to ensure no financial loss
  • Good understanding of corporate, capital gains, VAT and employee taxation
  • Excellent understanding of P&L, balance sheets and cash flows
  • Ability to prepare and evaluate statutory and management accounts
  • Ability to manage a small team of four/five
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products including high proficiency with Excel
