Job Description

You will also be expected to support the Director and Partner Team with business development activities such as proposals, pitches and development of the consulting propositions. You will be expected to manage proposals and RFP responses with the support of other members of the team.

You will also be expected to support the development of the practice in a broader sense, such as through the development and nurturing of junior talent, training, internal communications and contribution to the positive culture and supportive working environment.
Responsibilities
This is a varied role that will include the following:

  • Helping clients navigate the increasingly complex operations, technology and data landscape including vendors in the market
  • Supporting with the definition of new operating models, business models and processes to optimize the business
  • Project managing engagements to deliver high quality work in a timely manner to include scoping / financial management (budgeting) / engagement and risk management / production and review of deliverables.
  • Understanding the industry context, their business challenges, the opportunities and the threats our clients face
  • Coaching and developing team members through sharing of experience and knowledge, as well as managing the performance and development of other team members
  • You will be playing a crucial role in helping to drive the Asset Management sector, especially in respect of the private markets segment forward and will be part of a dynamic team culture offering strong internal networks and support.
  • You will be expected to support and drive opportunities, relationships and revenue from clients across the alternatives market.
  • You will leverage and develop your own network as well as developing relationships with clients to understand their issues and from that, develop solutions and drive revenue
  • You will support with the build out of client propositions and market positioning / thought leadership as it pertains to private markets
  • Fee generation through actively identifying and progressing business development opportunities, as well as managing sales activities such as proposal development and client presentations
  • Your role will be to, alongside the Head of Private Markets Consulting, drive the growth of the Private Markets Consulting practice, responsible for the delivery of work to Private Equity, Real Estate, Infrastructure and other clients in the private markets segment
  • Contributing to practice management, e.g. knowledge sharing, training, proposition development, and knowledge management.
  • Contributing to the development of our thought-leadership content and associated Marketing Campaigns
  • Identifying and managing delivery and financial risks across projects, engagement assurance and commercial risk management and ensuring the Firm's frameworks are implemented appropriately and effectively

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Significant professional experience of running large scale transformation programmes with multi-disciplined teams in either consulting or asset management
  • A detailed life-cycle understanding of at least one or more of the sub asset classes (e.g. Infrastructure, Real Estate, Private Equity, Private Debt/Liquid Credit)
  • A track record within the Wealth & Asset Management industry with a sound understanding of the industry trends, key themes and challenges
  • Strong experience in project delivery, transformation and business change
  • A good understanding of the operational and technological challenges associated with asset management
  • Experience in developing, mentoring and supporting junior colleagues and teams
  • A genuine interest and desire to work in the asset management sector and a strong desire to develop knowledge and skill sets in sustainable finance
  • An ability to contribute to a positive, inclusive and supportive working environment which respects and recognizes all members of the team
  • Ideally you will have industry specific qualifications (e.g. CFA, IMC, CAIA)
