Job Description

You will deliver a quality and compliant Tax service ensuring a proactive and forward thinking approach to all obligations and deadlines. You will be confident and competent delivering complex Tax information clearly to a wide range of stakeholders. First point of contact for all UK tax related issues within the Group.

You will initiate new projects and guarantee the successful implementation thereof.

• You will calculate and/or coordinate the calculation of current and deferred taxes for quarterly and annual financial statements.
• You will be the lead contact for our external consultants and service providers regarding the filing of tax returns, as well as for the implementation of tax-related projects.
• You will supervise tax audits.
• You are responsible for the fulfilment of tax return and documentation obligations.
• You are responsible for the establishment and monitoring of all local processes related to taxes
• You are responsible for tax risk management and the compliance of all statutory deadlines related to taxes
• In collaboration with our consultants, you will monitor current developments in UK tax law.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• A professional degree, Chartered Accountant certification (ACA or ACCA) and/or Chartered Tax certification (CTA or ATT)
• Several years of experience in tax advice in a renowned tax consultancy firm or accountancy firm, or in a tax department of a large company.
• Demonstrable experience in the domain of income tax and VAT law.
• Excellent analytical and conceptual skills and an agile learner.
• Personal responsibility and entrepreneurial spirit, a high level of self-motivation, assertiveness, as well as an ability to learn and work in teams are among your strengths.
• High proficiency of the English language, orally and in writing.
• Previous in-house experience in a similar role would be desirable
• German language proficiency would be a bonus but is not essential.
