We are currently seeking an experienced individual to join this team in the role of Chief Financial Officer. The role holder will be responsible for planning, directing and controlling activities of the Finance function of MP, including its entities, covering financial and regulatory reporting; tax planning and compliance; business support through management information, insight, advisory and planning; liquidity, funding and capital.

In this role you will:

• Be a strategic partner to the CEO and members, who drives execution towards delivery of the business strategy and goals as approved by the Board. Provide strategic financial leadership on issues affecting the business.
• Support the CEO and functional managers to develop clear business plans, priorities and forecasts in line with +/- 5% forecast accuracy targets;
• Initiate and maintain constant communication with the key stakeholders in all businesses.
• Maintain company’s external thought leadership position on accounting, tax and significant regulatory change. This will involve continuous engagement with other external stakeholders including regulators and industry players.
• Leadership and resourcing of the teams responsible for the fulfilment of legal entities and statutory obligations and external regulatory relationships.
• Responsible for managing Funding, Liquidity and Capital in accordance with risk appetite. Recommend and lead efforts to improve Return on capital, working capital and/or growth performance

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Resilient and adaptable professional with a minimum of 15 years of international financial experience in a leadership position, preferably with CFO or Financial controller experience in a FinTech or EMI (E-money Institution.)
• Proven experience in all finance functions, preferably including EMI
• Extensive experience in regulatory financial reporting and preferably safeguarding process under EMI
• Outstanding leadership skills demonstrating ability to drive delivery and manage people in a large matrix organization.
• Strategic thinker. Ability to work in fast-paced environment with proven ability to handle multiple outputs at one time.
• Ability to form effective relationships and achieve influence at the most senior level in the organization and with regulators.
• Proven knowledge and ability to adopt a constructive and pro-active approach to changing conditions/ regulations.
• Confidence to make robust/tough decisions and recommendations as required and ensure the reputation of company.
• Professional accounting qualifications are strongly preferred; demonstrated working ability and knowledge of economic and accounting principles, the financial markets and financial services.
