Job Description
This full time, permanent position would suit a Financial Controller who has at least 4 years' previous experience within a similar role; looking after the general accounting function and responsible for the treasury management and tax side of the business.
- Oversee the general accounting functions of the business
- Treasury management
- Corporation tax and VAT returns
- Monitor management and statutory accounts production
- Balance sheet reviews
- Reporting to the Finance Director
- Responsible for the running of finance systems
- Ensure efficiency and robustness of processes

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
The successful candidate will be knowledgeable on UK GAAP and IFRS, be able to oversee the finance team and support the FD and CFO. The Financial Controller should be a part or fully qualified accountant with the ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders.
- Part or fully ACCA / ACA qualified
- 4 years previous experience within a similar position
- Own vehicle and driving license due to possible travel to other office locations
- People management experience
- UK GAAP and IFRS knowledge
- Advanced Excel skills
- Previous experience of SAP and Sage Payroll software
- Background within a construction or engineering environment preferable
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills
