Job Description
  • Manage everyday activities, plan and assign work ensuring you always have the right staffing numbers
  • Develop your team and improve their performance through coaching and feedback, and create performance and development goals – recognize good performance
  • Train your team to make sure they deliver with compliance, to our standards and have the tools they need to work efficiently
  • Coordinate the completion of all forecasts and budgets as required, with the full and active participation of Executive Team and department managers.
  • Analyze financial data and operations in order to assist and advise management in maintaining the hotels’ financial objectives.
  • Ensure that all balance sheet accounts are reconciled on a timely basis.
  • Establish and continually audit all internal financial controls including purchasing, cash handling, disbursements, credit extension, inventories, assets, master keys, payroll, and records.
  • Direct and/or prepare all financial reports in accordance with the company’s requirements meeting various due dates and deadlines.
  • Ensure financial control procedures and systems are ethical and legal
  • Manage hotel contracts (example: vendor leases and/or service contracts)
  • Other ad-hoc duties – unexpected moments when we have to pull together to get a task done

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Ideally with a University Degree or Diploma in Finance or Hospitality/ Tourism Management
  • Minimum 2 years work experience as Director of Finance in a luxury Hotel.
  • Strong operational / technical knowledge
  • Strong process orientation
  • Ability to drive change and look after for efficiencies/synergies across network
  • Spanish and English proficiency
  • Highly organized, goal and result oriented

  • Strong interpersonal, communication, organization and follow-through skills
