Job Description

The team works closely with their Employment Law, Global Mobility / Expatriate Tax and People Consulting colleagues. They now have an opportunity for an ERS Director based in their high potential Financial Services Performance Group primarily focusing on Employment Tax. The work is wide ranging and covers all aspects of Employment Solutions
including employment tax and risk governance, IR 35 and employment status, payroll effectiveness and
expenses and benefits compliance
Role and responsibilities will include;

  • You will lead the relationships and accounts for a number of our key FS clients as well as a broader portfolio and be expected to originate opportunities, deliver against those and drive our FS strategy.
  • Leading business development and marketing activities, both internally with our partner/director group, and externally in the market
  • Winning new work and encouraging a winning mindset within an experienced team of tax professionals
  • Leading by example on technical quality and service delivery of Employment Solutions offerings.
  • Innovating our services around a wide range of developing employment and reward related changes in legislation (including National Minimum Wage legislation)
  • Leading teams of people including coaching and developing junior staff.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

The successful candidate with have a core of experience within Employment Taxes as well as potentially a wider experience across areas of Reward and;

  • They will be operating as a Director within a rival BIG 4 firm or accountancy practice or have experience working 'in-house' as an Employment Tax Director in a large Financial Services firm or FTSE business.
  • Ability to develop and sustain client relationships at a senior level and pro active approach to networking in the external market
  • A willingness and flexibility to generate new business in both employment tax and reward
  • Ability to look forward and understand prevailing trends in employment tax and reward legislation and a focus on translating these changes for the benefit of clients
  • Communicates with impact with clients and colleagues, in a way that is open, honest, consistent and clear.
  • Monitors and upholds high quality of service delivery
  • Takes personal responsibility and accountability for own and team's work.
  • Sustains a high level of drive, shows enthusiasm and a positive attitude that translates across the team
  • Gives clear directions, positive and constructive feedback.
  • Coaches and develops less experienced staff
  • Builds the reputation of the firm through the quality of work, knowledge and experience
  • Be CTA/ATT qualified
