Job Description

The business have an incredibly busy environment and are looking to continue growing bringing about internal opportunities for development. They’re also a leader when it comes to looking after staff, and have some incredible benefits. You will be expected to assist the rest of the team with both sides of the ledger, month-end processes, and creating various different financial reports.

Duties for the Assistant Accountant:

  • Accurately raising sales ledger invoices. 
  • Making sure that all accounts reflect the most accurate information at all times.
  • Monitoring and reporting variances, risks and opportunities in all transactions. 
  • Guaranteeing no account is out of budget or formal approval.
  • Completing daily reconciliations on various accounts. 
  • Handling internal and external queries.
  • Assisting Management Accounts with Month-End reporting processes. 
  • Guaranteeing constant information flow, allowing all external partners to operate as efficiently as possible.
  • Working closely with all internal teams to guarantee maximum profitability. 
  • Building relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Have a proven background within a similar role and understand basic accounting principles. 
  • Have excellent communication skills.
  • Have strong interpersonal skills. 
  • Be able to work in a team.
  • Strong Excel skills desirable. 
  • Have studied to some degree of AAT, ACCA, CIMA or hold a relevant Accountancy degree.
